Toilet Training

We toilet training our cat. I know we are crazy. I was skeptical, not really sure if a cat would go for something like this. Like everyone else, I thought that only happened in the movies.

But it's been no problem for Rawley. He's been moving right along. Each time we go to another step in this process, I think, this is when we are going to start having accidents. Worried that Rawley will revolt against this process and start going the bathroom wherever he wants. I am happy to say we've only had one accident and that was the first week he was home. And I don't think that was a toilet training issue. It's helped that we started this process from the moment we brought him home. So, he hasn't really known anything else in his new home.

This photo shows Rawley in the first stage of toilet training. This is first stage the insert on the toilet seat is closed and full of litter. It trains him to jump up on the toilet to do his business.

All Kitten

After a week of antibiotics, rest and care. Rawley is feeling good and being a normal active kitten. He's mostly good, but on occasion you can see the crazy kitteness come out. Here he looks like he eyeing his next move.

Under The Weather

Rawley currently has a kitty cold. It's common from being in the animal shelter. After a rough weekend and some medicine, I'm seeing signs of Rawley starting to feel better. Tonight he seems a little more engaged.
This is Rawley in his little carrier waiting for the vet. He looks a little unsure in this photo, but he did really great at the vet. He seems to be really friendly towards others and was even purring at the vet. I can't wait until he's back to his kitty-self.

Calmest Kitten Ever

This is how most of Rawley's time is spent. Super loving and calm. So unusual for a kitten.

Rawley Arrives

We adopted Rawley on Friday July 31st. He's settling in nicely at home.
